Instructors

With over 15 years of musical experience & 10 years of private instructor I have helped guide students towards their musical goals, all the while enjoying the ride! As a full time recording engineer & producer as well as session musician I have thousands of hours in practical application of the concepts that are taught on each instrument.
"My favorite part about teaching is developing a relationship with the students & seeing them fall in love with the instrument! Helping guide curiosity is a blessing!"

I have taught music lessons for over 10 years. I have been a musician at Coastal Church for over a decade.
"Music is one of the biggest joys in my life, I get excited when others want to learn this same passion."

I have been trained vocally for over ten years. Due to my exposure to many different styles and techniques in the realm of vocal studies, I would like to incorporate these aspects of my studies in my own instructing. I believe it is essential for students to enjoy what they are learning, while still feeling challenged in the areas where they require strengthening.
"I'm looking forward to working with new students at the Coastal Music Academy and hope to encourage all ages to use their talents from God and enjoy the process of learning and growing in fellowship and music!"

I have played since February of 2012. My primary instrument is the drum set, but I have also had experience with marching and concert percussion. I’ve been a part of the drumlines and jazz bands at my high school and college, as well as various other small ensembles. I graduated from Christopher Newport University in the spring and I spent the summer as one of Coastal’s worship interns.

I found my start in music as an eight-year-old taking piano lessons, and took off from there! In 2022, I graduated from music school with a Bachelor of Science in Worship Arts, with a concentration in voice. I’ve been teaching private lessons since 2016, and gained additional experience coaching & conducting vocal groups in college. I look forward to continuing that journey through Coastal Music Academy!
"My favorite thing about teaching music is seeing students grow to love it too! Music is a great medium to cultivate self-discipline and excitement for lifelong learning, so I am thrilled to be a part of helping students in their musical journeys."
